The Last of Us: Part I, an updated version of the popular action-adventure game with horror mechanics, transports players to a post-apocalyptic world devastated by a mutation of the Cordyceps fungus that caused a devastating epidemic 20 years ago. The remaining survivors are forced to cooperate in quarantine zones, trying to avoid infection and encounter the horrific monsters spawned by the fungus.
