Call of Duty World at War Torrent is the fifth major game, developed by Treyarch Studios and published by Activision as usual. Contrary to popular belief, World at War is not a World War II Call of Duty game, and is a prequel to the Black Ops series. Treyarch used the same engine used in Modern Warfare to create the game, but it underwent a lot of changes. More destructibility, the impact of environmental factors, and the skin and clothing of the game characters on fire and an advanced water system were among the changes that Treyarch made to the IW 3 Engine. Treyarch used prominent actors such as Kiefer Sutherland and Gary Ullman to voice the main characters in its new game. Most of the environmental factors and game animations were also recorded and added to the game using motion capture technology to help make the game more realistic. Although Treyarch set the game back to World War II, unlike the fourth installment in the series, it used the layer of reality of the events of that period to tell its fictional story.
